Jñāna Yoga
Like all forms of yoga, Jñāna Yoga is a practice. Yet it isn’t a practice of physical postures or asanas, it’s practice for the mind.
The goal of a yoga practice varies depending on who you ask. The goal of Jnana yoga is to deepen self-awareness, self realisation. Moving beyond intellectual understanding to directly experience the true Self, through expanded awareness of body, thoughts and emotions.
Jñāna Yoga is one of three classical paths described in the Bhagavad Gita along with Karma (action) and Bhakti (devotion) Yoga. Jñāna Yoga is ancient, over 2,500 years old in its recognisable form and likely much older in essence.
“Life is an evolutionary journey. It’s full of ups and downs, joys and challenges. We follow where it leads us, our actions often define us. It’s a passage to deeply know oneself, one’s soul, beyond the parameters of the ego”.
